A Registered Neutral is an individual who has met the education and training requirements set by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and is now recognized by the Georgia Supreme Court as qualified to act as an impartial third-party facilitator for mediation services. In addition to the original training process, our attorneys are required to complete annual continuing education courses to maintain their registration status.

But what is Alternative Dispute Resolution? It is the legal system’s way of offering a less formal and in many cases, less expensive way to resolve a dispute between parties outside of traditional litigation and trial. In certain cases, the parties are able to mediate their conflict and come to an agreement without ever needing to file a lawsuit. In others, a lawsuit is filed but the parties mediate and are able to reach a resolution before going to trail. In either scenario, the parties’ issues are usually resolved quicker and with less cost.
